MountainWest Description: Our Questar index includes deliveries into both the North and South systems, and the lateral that connects the two. Although there is no official demarcation point between the North & South systems per se, a Questar representative told NGI that for internal purposes, the company uses the Clay Basin storage field in Northeast Utah as the dividing point between the two areas. Our Questar index does not include transactions into Opal, since those are covered by a separate index.

  • What do these prices represent?

    Daily GPI prices represent next-day natural gas spot prices at various trading locations in the U.S. and Canada. Prices are expressed in $U.S. per MMBtu with the exception of Canadian locations which are published in CDN$/Gj. To learn more about Daily GPI prices, check out our Price Index Methodology.
