Michigan Consolidated Description: Deliveries into the Michigan Consolidated LDC system in Michigan, excluding those into the Bluewater Hub and at St. Clair, MI. MichCon serves three main areas of the state: 1.) The greater Detroit area (Wayne, Monroe, Washtenaw, and Oakland Counties), 2) Central Michigan (Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Charlevoix, Antrim, Otsego, Montmorency, Alpena, Alcona, Crawford, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Benzie, Leelanau, Manistee, Wexford, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Iosco, Gladwin, Clare, Osceola, Lake, Mason, Oceana, Muskegon, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa, Kent, and Ionia Counties), and 3.) The Upper Peninsula (Chippewa, Alger, Delta, Menominee, Dickenson, Marquette, and Iron Counties). MichCon is a subsidiary of DTE Energy.

  • What do these prices represent?

    Bidweek prices represent the wholesale, spot price of natural gas at various trading locations in the U.S. and Canada. Bidweek prices are the result of trading done on the last five business days of the month for gas to be delivered on each day of the coming month. These prices include both deals done on the Intercontinental Exchange, as well as those reported directly to NGI. Prices are expressed in $U.S. per MMBtu with the exception of Canadian locations which are published in CDN$/Gj. To learn more about Daily GPI prices, check out our Price Index Methodology.
